  Coffee Info: Facts
Coffee is a natural beverage with no added sugar or preservatives.

The average American adult consumes
10.2 pounds of coffee beans per year.

Coffee should be kept in glass airtight
containers away from direct sunlight or
moisture. Plastic containers should not
be used because they breathe and
absorb aromas.

Always use fresh, cold water for brewing.

Hot water will flatten the taste.

Never reheat coffee; after 20 minutes it will lose its peak flavor.

The faster the brewing method the finer you should grind your coffee beans.

The amount of caffeine in an average cup of coffee is 100 milligrams, espresso 80 milligrams. The darker the roast the less caffeine.

The top coffee producing nations are Brazil, Colombia, and Indonesia.
